Construction of Terminal 3 at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport is 90% complete with structural work done and installations underway.
The terminal is set to open in April 2025, two months ahead of schedule, with a capacity of 20 million passengers annually.
Terminal 3 will be the country’s largest domestic terminal, increasing Tan Son Nhat’s total capacity to 50 million passengers annually.
Terminal 3 will consist of one basement and four floors with a floor area of 112,500 sqm. The work includes the passenger terminal, a multi-level parking lot, an elevated road in front of the terminal, and an aircraft apron.
T3 is budgeted to cost nearly VND11 trillion (US$432 million), and is funded by the state-owned Airports Corporation of Vietnam.
