The ancient city of Hoi An has been named “Asia’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination” at this year’s World MICE Awards ceremony in Germany.
It beat Bali (Indonesia), Jaipur (India), Kyoto (Japan), Langkawi (Malaysia), Phuket (Thailand), and Siem Reap (Cambodia) to be honored in this category.
Hoi An was a busy international port throughout the 16th to 19th centuries. It has preserved its tranquility and slow pace of life to become one of the tourist hotspots in Vietnam.
At the same event, Ho Chi Minh City was named Asia’s best destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, and JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa Asia’s best incentive hotel.
