Vietnam aims to become a pharmaceutical hub for high-value pharmaceutical production by 2050.
This is one of the goals set out in the Master Plan for the healthcare network for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, which the Prime Minister has approved.
Modern healthcare facilities of international standards will be developed.
The target is to have 35 hospital beds, 19 doctors, four pharmacists, and 33 nurses per 10,000 people by 2030. This is expected to increase to 45 hospital beds, 35 doctors, 4.5 pharmacists, and 90 nurses per 10,000 people by 2050.
