Statistics Indonesia reports that the number of international tourist arrivals in the country in the first half of 2024 jumped to 6.4 million, up 21% compared to the same period of 2023.
The number of foreign tourist arrivals is the highest since 2020.
In June, the number of international tourist arrivals was 1,168,988, up 2.05% month-on-month and 9.99 year-on-year.
The highest number of tourists came from Malaysia, accounting for 16.1% of the total, followed by Singapore (13.4%) and Australia (12.3%).
