TikTok is planning a €1 billion investment to establish its first data center in Finland, according to Reuters.
The initiative aligns with the company’s broader goal of enhancing data sovereignty by housing European user data within the region.
The project is part of Project Clover, TikTok’s long-term data security strategy launched in 2023.
TikTok’s existing European infrastructure includes Ireland and Norway, supporting the platform’s growing user base 175 million user base in the region.
