According to a recent Agoda survey, 49% of tourists visited the country primarily for its culinary options.
According to the poll, South Korea is the top food destination in Asia, with 64% of visitors citing food as their main reason for traveling, followed by Taiwan (62%), Thailand (55%) and Japan (52%).
Agodaโs Malaysia Brunei director Fabian Teja says this shows food is an important part of the entire cultural experience of visiting a destination.
