Shopee Thailand's second round of layoffs is affecting about 100 employees, about 10% of its workforce. The company says that this will enable it to continue to run more efficient business operations.

The Singaporean multinational technology company that focuses on e-commerce is a subsidiary of Sea Limited.

Shopee has restructured its business in many countries this year to make the company more self-sufficient. The move in Shopee Thailand follows layoffs in other countries such as Singapore and Indonesia.
