Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Saija Nurminen has been appointed as the new Head of Mission at Finland’s Embassy in Manila, effective September 1, 2024. Nurminen, who has served as Director of the Personnel Unit at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs since 2020, has a distinguished career in the Diplomatic Service, including positions in Berlin, Washington, Geneva, and Brussels. She holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki.
