Civil servants in Malaysia may receive up to a 42.7% pay hike under the revised Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA), says Fahmi Fadzil, the Communications Minister.

“As previously mentioned, the guidelines related to the salary increase among the civil servants are expected to be distributed soon.”

“Starting next week, we will have a better general outlook of the salary increase, which is expected to be between 15% to 42.7%,” he added.

Fahmi said lower-grade civil servants will receive the highest hikes.
