Japanese companies are looking to invest in transit-oriented development (TOD) hubs around key MRT Jakarta stations, according to a senior official at the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta.
The Japanese embassy’s minister for economic affairs in Jakarta, Hajime Ueda, says several private firms across various sectors were actively exploring investment opportunities in these TOD hubs, areas within a 700-meter radius from the commuting points.
These hubs are around the Bundaran HI, Dukuh Atas, and Lebak Bulus stations. These TODs would also include affordable housing and retail centers.
