The Indonesian Government is targeting to pull in Rp1,650 trillion (about 102 million euros) in investment in 2024, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto says.

President Joko Widodo Jokowi wants to also expedite the development of the domestic electric vehicle industry. He expects that Indonesia will create an electric vehicle ecosystem and not just focus on manufacturing raw materials for electric vehicle batteries.

Indonesia’s government targets 5.3-5.7% economic growth and 1.5-3.5% inflation in 2024. Its oil production target is just over one million barrels per day for the next year.

The government expects a poverty rate of 6.5-7.5%. At the same time, unemployment would be 3.6-4.3%.
