The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) is expediting digital transformation through the implementation of Digital Population Identity (IKD) or digital ID (KTP) for public services.
In the first stage, the IKD implemented should be able to serve nine priority SPBE services, including integrated services in the fields of population administration, education, health services, and social assistance services. After that, IKD would cover state financial transactions, government administration, public service portal services, One Data Indonesia services, and integrated police services.
“Indonesia will enter a new era of integrated public services through Single Sign-On (SSO) that is based on community needs in one integrated national portal,” Director General of Population and Civil Registration Teguh Setyabudi says.
