Google will launch a new security feature to combat cyber scams. The Google Play Protect feature blocks risky app installations from unknown sources. The service will be launched first in Singapore before Thailand in the coming days.
“This feature automatically blocks risky app installations from unknown sources,” Prasert Chantararuangthong, Thailand’s minister of digital economy and society, says.
In Thailand, an estimated 7 out of 10 online users have fallen victim to online scams.
