Newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Cambodia, Kristiina Kuvaja- Xanthopoulos, has discussed cooperation priorities in Phnom Penh with Cambodian lawmakers Chea Sophara and Suy Sem.
The Finnish Ambassador emphasized her team’s support on strengthening digital transformation and circular economic sectors.
The Finns will work closely with the Ministry of Economy and Finance in promoting accountability and public finance and with the Ministry of Environment on solid waste collection and management.
She also pledged to attract more investment to Cambodia and promote people-to-people relations.
Sophara spoke highly of Finland’s contribution to Cambodia’s agriculture, demining assistance, anti-human trafficking, land registration, rural road rehabilitation, and the Khmer Rouge trials.
