The Sustainability Committee Meeting in April will focus on exploring the EU Sustainability Standards.

The meeting aims to provide valuable insights into how businesses and organizations in the Philippines can align with sustainability standards set by the European Union, particularly emphasizing their implications for European companies. Discussions will delve into the significance of these standards within the Philippine context and their impact on local businesses. For stakeholders engaged in business with European companies, this meeting offers a crucial opportunity to understand the importance of complying with EU sustainability standards and recognize the benefits of alignment for fostering successful partnerships. Moreover, the meeting will address the challenges and opportunities of adopting EU sustainability standards, facilitating meaningful dialogue on how businesses can navigate these challenges and leverage opportunities to enhance their sustainability efforts.

Jennifer A. Pham, Regional Advisor on Sustainability & Supply Chains at the Danish Embassy in ASEAN, will discuss the EU Green Deal, guidance on navigating EU regulations (such as CSRD, CSDDD, EUDR, CBAM, and more), implications for Danish businesses and their partners in the Philippines, and support services provided by the Danish Trade Council in ASEAN.

We invite you to join us for an enlightening session focused on EU Sustainability Standards on 24 April 2024 from 3:30 – 6:00 PM at IWG Spaces, World Plaza, BGC. The event provides an exceptional opportunity to delve into the implementation and impact of these standards in the Philippines, particularly for larger EU companies and their suppliers.
