China’s mobile phone shipments rose 1.8% year-on-year in October 2024 to 29.67 million units, according to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
5G mobile phones accounted for about 90% of the October shipments, totaling 26.72 million units, marking an increase of 1.1 percent year-on-year.
In the first 10 months of 2024, total cellphone shipments grew by 8.9% year-on-year to 250 million units.
