In a farewell call with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on 4 June at the Peace Palace, outgoing Finnish Ambassador to Cambodia Jyri Järviaho informed the premier that, during his four-year diplomatic mission in Cambodia, he had witnessed the strengthening and expansion of cooperation and support for socio-economic development in Cambodia in fields such as demining, land management and registration, assistance to the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, and support for social development.
Järviaho also stressed the need to continue to strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, vocational training, health, trade, and the environment.
In response, Dr. Hun Manet welcomed Ambassador Jyri Järviaho and appreciated the strengthening and expanding diplomatic relations and cooperation in various fields, especially education.
Manet also welcomed and encouraged the Government of Finland to further strengthen and expand the cooperation.
