ASEAN+3 Expected to Grow 4.2%: Amro

This year’s growth forecast for the ASEAN plus three economies – including also China and Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea – has weakened from 4.4% to 4.2%, according to the Asean+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (Amro).

Amro has revised its 2024 growth expectations for China to 5% and for Vietnam to 6.2%, according to Asean+3 Regional Economic Outlook (AREO).

ASEAN is expected to expand by 4.7% in 2024, but the plus-three economies are projected to grow by only by 4.1% overall, the report says.
